WineMaking Notes
While the majority of the fruit is crushed, a small portion is added as whole bunched. Fermentation occurs naturally on the skins for 12 days. The extraction is gentle, with very limited punch downs and pump-overs, in an effort to maintain freshness and drinkability. After pressing, maturation occurs in 500L neutral French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Very inviting notes of lingonberry and strawberry on the nose. Bright, crunchy fruit dominates the palate, while the finish has a nice savory edge to provide balance. The freshness, well rounded texture, and low tannin all contribute to making this an incredible summer wine. Perfect for anytime a chilled red is the order of the day.
